Summary
Join Precision for Medicine, a precision medicine CRO, as a Resource Manager! You will manage and optimize organizational resources, supporting the business and contributing to resourcing strategy. Daily responsibilities include executing staffing processes, allocating resources to projects, and optimizing utilization across business units. You will work with senior leadership, advise project teams, contribute to budgeting and forecasting, and coordinate hiring. This fully remote position requires a 4-year college degree or equivalent experience in a scientific or healthcare discipline, along with proven resource management experience in a global service organization, ideally within pharma/life sciences. Supervisory experience and domestic/international travel are also required.
Requirements
- 4-year college degree, or equivalent experience ideally in a scientific or healthcare discipline
- Proven experience managing resources in a global service organization, ideally with in the pharma/life sciences industry
- Ability to manage workforce allocations for both full time and contractor resources
- Supervisory experience and ability to manage Business Operations Associates
- Ability to drive and availability for domestic and occasional international travel including overnight stays
Responsibilities
- Oversee the allocation and assignment of global resources (both full time and contractor staff) to the appropriate projects, placing the right people in the right positions to ensure project success, across the PFMORD enterprise
- Optimize utilization across the business units by making staffing recommendations and decisions in support of a deployment strategy
- Work with senior leadership to understand key resource requirements and ensure the development of resourcing strategies to meet both current and future organizational needs
- Focus on developmental opportunities for staff and plans for staff advancement
- Evaluates opportunities for resource optimization and enhancement using specific tracking tools and integration into the company ERP system
- Advise project teams and financial analysts on how to best navigate and employ the resource management process and provide recommendations to improve business performance
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities on an ongoing and annualized basis to maximize value for the company
- Coordinate hiring plan execution with Human Resources and Finance to ensure appropriately prioritized hiring
- Prepare metrics and summary reports on resourcing activities as necessary
- Negotiate and resolve staffing conflicts to the satisfaction of all parties and identify creative alternatives to address identified issues
- Escalate sensitive or high-risk staffing situations to the Business Operations leadership and Executive Team as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
