Revenue Accountant

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in revenue accounting, ideally in a SaaS or technology environment
• Strong understanding of ASC 606 and its application to revenue recognition
• Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel skills
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Perform revenue accounting functions, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist in the month-end close process to ensure revenue is recorded accurately and timely
• Review contracts to ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
• Analyze revenue fluctuations and prepare supporting schedules as needed
• Work closely with Accounts Receivable, FP&A, Legal, Product Management, Revenue Operations, and Sales teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting
• Collaborate on the implementation of process improvements and system enhancements related to revenue
• Identify opportunities to streamline revenue accounting processes and increase efficiency
• Support automation initiatives within the revenue accounting function
• Assist in the preparation of revenue-related financial reports for management and external auditors
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies related to revenue recognition
