Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in revenue accounting, ideally in a SaaS or technology environment
- Strong understanding of ASC 606 and its application to revenue recognition
- Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement
Responsibilities
- Perform revenue accounting functions, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist in the month-end close process to ensure revenue is recorded accurately and timely
- Review contracts to ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
- Analyze revenue fluctuations and prepare supporting schedules as needed
- Work closely with Accounts Receivable, FP&A, Legal, Product Management, Revenue Operations, and Sales teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting
- Collaborate on the implementation of process improvements and system enhancements related to revenue
- Identify opportunities to streamline revenue accounting processes and increase efficiency
- Support automation initiatives within the revenue accounting function
- Assist in the preparation of revenue-related financial reports for management and external auditors
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies related to revenue recognition
