Summary

Join Paddle as a Risk Analyst and contribute to our risk strategy by investigating alerts, conducting investigations, and protecting Paddle from risk. You will work remotely from our Toronto hub, reviewing alerts from various systems, investigating suppliers, and making informed decisions. This role requires strong risk experience in e-commerce/FinTech, data analysis skills, and excellent communication. You will also contribute to process improvements and work with internal teams. Requirements

  • Proven experience working in Risk or Underwriting (ideally within Merchant Acquiring, E-Commerce, or a similar role at a FinTech)
  • Experience reviewing web monitoring alerts (for example, EverCompliant, Webshield or G2)
  • Experience reviewing alerts related to chargebacks, transaction-laundering and fraud
  • Experience working with businesses to resolve risk related flags
  • High value on accuracy and completeness of work
  • Ability to communicate clearly, sensitively and effectively with customers while investigating suspicious activity
  • Strong data analysis and investigative skills
  • Proven ability to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Investigate alerts generated by our third-party vendors, alert systems, and transaction monitoring solutions
  • Open and conduct complex risk investigations
  • Monitor chargeback data to identify ongoing trends
  • Work directly with suppliers to resolve risk related flags
  • Work with internal teams regarding customer inquiries or Risk related issues
  • Be confident in making judgement calls (at times based on limited information)
  • Communicate in a clear and concise manner
  • Help provide assistance with Card Scheme rules and global legislation around payments
  • Support the Onboarding teams with complex cases
  • Contribute to improvements in our team processes
