Ruby on Rails Developer

Join CompanyCam as a Backend Engineer and collaborate with a remote-first team to build and maintain our Ruby on Rails application. Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails
• Familiarity with Redis, PostgreSQL, and Sidekiq in a production environment
• Solid understanding of backend fundamentals - building APIs, managing background jobs, and debugging performance or reliability issues in a large, evolving Rails monolith
• You live and work permanently in the U.S

Responsibilities

• Work alongside other engineers, designers, and product managers to tackle everything from huge company initiatives to modest but important bug fixes, from start to finish
• Collaborate with your product team on discovery, helping to assess the direction and feasibility of product changes
• Provide input on solutions, implementation strategies, and the overall direction of our app
• Share your valuable insights and learn new skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS (S3, EC2, etc.)
• Experience with ElasticSearch
• Experience with MongoDB
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience with GraphQL

Benefits

• This is a salaried position at CompanyCam
• Our salary range is $150,000 - $165,000 per year and is based on experience
