Summary

Join our Mortgage Business Intelligence & Analytics team as a Sales Data Analyst! This fully remote role (with optional office locations) involves developing core sales reporting, deriving insights to boost sales, and collaborating with sales leaders. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, experience with mortgage sales, and expertise in Power BI and SQL. Requirements

  • Strong knowledge and experience with mortgage sales required including understanding of entire sales funnel, from lead generation to closing
  • 3-5 years’ experience in an analytics role such as data analytics, business intelligence, decision science, data science, analytic insights, or similar
  • BS in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, computer science, decision science, or similar, or equivalent professional experience
  • Comprehension of core structured data and data warehouse concepts
  • Strong report development and data visualization experience including dashboards, KPIs, and data presentation
  • Ability to work with a variety of personalities, including senior level management, and effectively use data to drive actionable recommendations
  • Expert level understanding of Power BI including connecting to data sources, data transformation, data visualization, and data interaction
  • Central semantic model development including creating measures using DAX
  • Advanced experience with (MS) SQL and datamining techniques using multivariate datasets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including ability to build effective data visualizations, reports, and present to a variety of audiences
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with business leaders to understand business needs and gather requirements
  • Create standard reporting to establish baseline of existing sales funnel performance
  • Develop relevant reporting to track performance of pilots and processes, as well as supporting the business
  • Properly establish metrics to measure success and identify additional opportunities
  • Effectively distill data into understandable and summary results
  • Create strong data visualizations
  • Deliver findings and insights to upper management and stakeholders using storytelling techniques
  • Propose actionable recommendations on product and process
  • Conduct A/B testing, identifying control groups to measure against
  • Help grow team capabilities through best practices, skill sharing, and collaboration
  • Support other team functions such as operational reporting, regulatory reporting, and data development, as needed
  • Statistical & qualitative analysis
  • Develop statistical models to identify relevant variables impacting sales
  • Establish hypotheses and recommendations including documentation, identifying test groups, and establishing time frames

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient with analytics programming language such as Python or R
  • Statistical analysis experience including regression analysis, k-means clustering, and other statistical methods
  • Predictive modeling experience
