Summary
Join Appspace as a Sales Engineer and partner with Account Executives in a pre-sales technical role, showcasing product solutions, setting up demonstrations, and explaining features and benefits to customers and partners. You will also collaborate with Customer Success and Enhanced Services teams as a post-sales subject matter expert. This role requires understanding customer business needs to define fitting solutions, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively across teams. A Bachelor's degree and 5 years of professional experience are preferred, but not required. Requirements
- Ability to build strong customer relationships leading to trusted advisor status within customer and partner base
- In-depth knowledge of baseline pre-sales product and engineering skills
- Knowledge of relevant solutions sets, product line specifications, performance criteria, and applications of use
- Competitive knowledge (in the areas of digital media and content management, space management, room booking)
- Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively across teams and collaborate with a variety of departments
- Demonstrated history of exhibiting technical knowledge and consultative skills
- Bachelorβs Degree and minimum 5 years professional experience (Computer Science/Information Technology and Engineering fields preferred but not required)
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and sales support for assigned and prospective customers
- Take the lead on moving opportunities through the sales process from a technical perspective, knowing when to engage other team members for success and closure
- Perform technical presentations for customers, partners, and prospects
- Assist with developing formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities, selling at the solution and architectural level
- Ability to understand complex customer technical and business situations and identify where Appspace solutions can provide value
- Act as an SME for ongoing implementations and deployments to provide solutions that fit customer use cases
- Collaborate with our Enhanced Services team and Customer Success team to ensure proposed solutions are properly scoped and, ultimately, successful
- Help drive account and partner relationship building
- Keeping up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products, and services
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior sales, sales engineering, or solution architect experience
- Working knowledge/use of Salesforce
- Scripting
- Web Development (HTML, JavaScript, and AngularJS)
- O365/Azure
- Working knowledge of containerization/Kubernetes
- Cloud solutions
- IPTV streaming
- Digital signage/video walls
- Space management/room booking tools (IWMS, etc.)
- Prior Software/SaaS Company and Industry experience
