Summary

Join Certus as a Safety Sales Manager and lead a team of Account Executives to organically grow revenue and expand wallet share for existing clients. You will drive revenue growth by leading a high-performing sales team focused on expanding market share and creating new business opportunities. This role oversees the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract execution, including pricing strategy, proposal development, contract negotiation, and client presentations. As Sales Manager, you will inspire and guide a training-focused team with a strong, positive leadership style. Certus is a remote-first company, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere. The position offers a base pay of $95,000-$110,000 annually, plus quarterly bonuses around $10,000 (based on meeting quota), with an OTE of $135,000-$150,000.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience leading a team in service-based, L&D, Safety or Software-as-a-Service industry required
  • Track record of success in sales as individual contributor in Software-as -a-Service
  • Ability to provide accurate sales forecasts and relevant reporting based upon realistic timelines
  • Experience in a consultative, value-based, driven sales methodology
  • Ability to penetrate and sell to executive-level decision-makers
  • Ability to work proactively and act independently
  • Always display professional and ethical conduct
  • The ability to work with little supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft products
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • May require minimal travel as needed for customer and internal stakeholder meetings
  • Achievement of sales targets and revenue growth for the safety sales team
  • Effective leadership and development of the individual contributors in the team
  • Strategic sales planning and pipeline management to drive growth in the organization

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate sales team to achieve team goals, increase engagement & coordinate with operations
  • Evaluate market conditions, prepare sales plans, and develop cost-effective business strategies to achieve objectives
  • Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with peers and other departments
  • Engage with customers to develop relationships
  • Present solutions via online meetings
  • Suggest and implement improvements in the sales process
  • Understand client needs and requirements to present effective value propositions
  • Report and monitor sales metrics for continuous improvement
  • Prepare sales forecasts weekly
  • Ongoing interaction with Operations and Marketing to identify key Strategic Initiatives to drive growth
  • Lead and mentor a team of Account Executives to achieve revenue targets
  • Develop a key understanding of growth in new accounts to help develop our land and expand strategy
  • Set, track, and meet sales targets for your team
  • Coach, train, and mentor Account Executives to continue improving employee engagement and professional development
  • Lead forecasting processes to deliver consistent, scalable growth

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of general OSHA regulations is preferred
