Summary

The job is for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) Manager in Thumbtack, a virtual-first company that helps homeowners manage their homes. The SDR manager will recruit, onboard, train, coach, and remove sales obstacles for the SDR team, design and optimize the sales pitch, and maintain high team morale.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of cold-calling/outbound sales experience and 2-3 years of people management experience handling a sales team
  • Expert at solution-based selling through aligning prospect goals, needs and problems to product solutions
  • A collaborative attitude and the ability to share techniques and success with the team
  • Experience with CRM and sales tools, preferably Salesforce
  • An ability to multitask, stay detail-oriented, organized and available for the team during the shift
  • Expertise in creating scalable processes and SOPs to enhance efficiency and drive results

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining high team morale
  • Setting & achieving goals both as a team
  • Coaching and improving the sales process
  • Managing ever-changing campaigns and team productivity
  • Helping to streamline the SDR workflow and operations processes
  • Train and mentor current team members and new hires on sales strategies, scripting, and processes in a work from home environment
  • Provide feedback to Sales Leadership, Sales Operations and Enablement on ways to improve workflow and efficiency for SDR’s, as well as identify training needs
  • Become an expert in the Thumbtack product and clearly articulate why every business professional needs the product as part of their business plan

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Google Suite
  • Experience in managing a geographically dispersed, remote team
  • Experiencing in short sales cycle consultative selling
