Summary

Join Downeast Cider, the #1 hard cider in the Northeast, as a Sales Representative and become the face of our rapidly growing team in Manhattan. Your mission is to boost sales and visibility of our craft hard cider portfolio with on-premise and off-premise retail partners. You will build relationships, manage accounts, prospect for new business, and ensure product quality. We offer a comprehensive onboarding program, ongoing training, and a clear path for promotion. This remote position requires strong sales skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. Requirements

  • Be passionate about craft cider
  • Have experience providing superior customer service
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be a self-starter who is motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Be able to adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
  • Have a valid driver’s license and vehicle
  • Be 21 years of age or older to comply with federal and state regulations
  • Reside in the same area as the covered territory
  • Be comfortable with 1-2 overnights a month/4-5 overnights a quarter

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and brand awareness through strong relationships and strategic account management
  • Execute on account visits and quarterly sales goals
  • Grow brand presence and introduce new products within our existing accounts
  • Prospect for new business and close sales with new accounts
  • Seek out merchandising and promotional opportunities at accounts
  • Monitor product freshness to ensure quality standards are being upheld
  • Oversee and schedule events for a local brand ambassador(s)
  • Flex your people skills
  • Spend 80-90% of your time visiting new and existing accounts
  • Build relationships with key decision makers throughout your account base
  • Balance communications with many (10-40) wholesaler reps
  • Leverage wholesaler relationships/ride-alongs to increase sales and stay top of mind
  • Record account details in the CRM software
  • Input contact information and notes following every sales visit
  • Maintain accurate and timely records through VIP and Karma
  • Create and send weekly recaps of account work to wholesalers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have outside sales experience
  • Have experience working in the alcohol / liquor / beer / wine industry
  • Be comfortable using a CRM software
  • Be proficient in Google Suite
