Summary

You will build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, leverage scientific expertise and sales acumen, and deliver high-value solutions. Responsibilities include developing sales strategies, managing customer relationships, maintaining product knowledge, conducting technical presentations, and tracking sales activities using Salesforce. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in life sciences or academic research and 3 years of sales experience. Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in life sciences or academic research sectors and a minimum of 3 years of sales experience
- Knowledgeable about biologics manufacturing, downstream process development and purification, bioanalytical techniques such as ELISA, other immunoassay formats, and Mass Spectrometry
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets through strategic sales planning and execution
- Strong negotiation and consultative selling skills, with a record of accomplishment of closing complex deals
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with researchers and institutions
- Self-motivated with a strong drive for results and a proactive approach to sales
- Experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite for data tracking, reporting, and customer management
Responsibilities
- Drive territory sales strategy by owning execution and meeting set quotas
- Use advanced sales techniques to accelerate new customer acquisition, enhance product adoption, and expand sales within existing accounts
- Serve as a trusted advisor for Cygnus Technologies, building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers in bioanalytical sciences development groups
- Maintain a deep understanding of Cygnus products to effectively communicate product benefits and applications to customers
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations tailored to specific customer applications and research needs
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to refine sales strategies and identify market opportunities
- Utilize Salesforce (SFDC) to track sales activities, pipeline progression, and key performance metrics, ensuring data-driven decision-making and accurate forecasting
- Partner closely with the Business Development, Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Support teams to enhance market penetration and drive customer success
- Perform other functions and duties as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (M.Sc., Ph.D.) or professional sales certification
- Experience selling into industrial accounts
