Join Couchbase as a Sr. Enterprise Sales Representative, working remotely in Japan. You will be selling our award-winning NoSQL database to enterprise clients across various industries, focusing on strategic opportunities. This role requires exceeding sales goals, managing key accounts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will need experience in enterprise technology sales, account planning, and utilizing sales methodologies like MEDDIC. Requirements
- Demonstrate a passion for achieving goals and valuing teamwork
- Possess a proven track record of exceeding annual ACV New by 1 million or more, or overachieving for 2+ years
- Have approximately 3+ years of experience selling enterprise technology and managing complex key accounts
- Be able to create account plans and sell using sales methodologies such as MEDDIC
- Possess excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to demonstrate the value of the Couchbase platform to customers and prospects
- Have experience selling SaaS or a demonstrable understanding of hyperscalers/service offerings
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be a great team player
- Be self-motivated, independent, a high-achiever with strong learning ability and the ability to ramp up quickly
- Have an advanced level of English and native level of Japanese
Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual booking goals
- Identify and acquire new and existing business
- Develop proposals as a thought leader, leveraging industry insights and contacts
- Demonstrate ownership as an account leader and lead the account team
- Sell complete solutions of software, services, and support to ensure customer success
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver webinars and participate in tradeshows and industry events

Have experience selling to database or developer audiences
