SAP Data Migration Process Expert

Summary

Join METRO Global Solution Center as an SAP Data Migration Specialist and contribute to the LUCA program, upgrading METRO’s Finance to SAP S/4HANA. You will define data migration plans, collaborate with implementation partners, monitor design document completion, review technical solutions, validate migration reports, and ensure alignment with partner systems. Responsibilities include managing the defect process, conducting stakeholder meetings, and ensuring compliance with quality audits. This role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, 5+ years of SAP Data Migration experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with Finance, Controlling & Procurement data objects. Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business informatics, Computer Science, or a related field, combined with solid knowledge in SAP Data Migration practices
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP Data Migration, preferably sufficient knowledge on SAP BODS, Migration Cockpit (File Staging & Direct Transfer approaches)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of the organization and external partners
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
• Ability to travel is required (around 20-25% of working time)

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the Data Migration plan and approach by closely collaborating with the implementation partner
• Monitor and review the timely completion of Design Documents and Value mapping by collaborating with Process streams
• Review the technical solution and approach for improving re-usability and optimization
• Initial technical validation of the Migration Load reports
• End-to-End alignment with Partner systems on the process, tasks and timelines for Master data execution
• Efficient management on the Defect process
• Drive daily Mock meetings across stakeholders and weekly meetings with Business Data owners on the Mock progress
• Ensure compliance with quality audits and requirements
