Requirements
- Masterβs Degree in Counseling or a related field from a regionally accredited institution
- Alabama Licensed School Counselor credential
- Alabama Department of Education School Counselor
- Required clearances as outlined by the Alabama Department of Education
- 2+ years of experience in a school setting
- Demonstrates ethical behavior, respects policies, and takes ownership of responsibilities
- Works effectively with colleagues and contributes to a positive, team-oriented environment
- Maintains a growth mindset, responds well to challenges, and can troubleshoot independently
- Shows cultural sensitivity and consistently manages time and tasks efficiently
Responsibilities
- Provide students with the tools and support needed to navigate emotional challenges, develop coping strategies, and strengthen resilience
- Work closely with schools to identify student needs, offer individualized support, and promote mental well-being in ways that are both practical and compassionate
