Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Counseling or a related field from a regionally accredited institution
• Alabama Licensed School Counselor credential
• Alabama Department of Education School Counselor
• Required clearances as outlined by the Alabama Department of Education
• 2+ years of experience in a school setting
• Demonstrates ethical behavior, respects policies, and takes ownership of responsibilities
• Works effectively with colleagues and contributes to a positive, team-oriented environment
• Maintains a growth mindset, responds well to challenges, and can troubleshoot independently
• Shows cultural sensitivity and consistently manages time and tasks efficiently

Responsibilities

• Provide students with the tools and support needed to navigate emotional challenges, develop coping strategies, and strengthen resilience
• Work closely with schools to identify student needs, offer individualized support, and promote mental well-being in ways that are both practical and compassionate
