Join Handspring's fully remote team of mental health therapists, earning a base salary of $80,000-$85,000 plus a sign-on bonus and potential for an additional $10,000 annually. Requirements

  • Licensed mental health professionals with at least 3 years post-graduate experience providing psychotherapy
  • Active unrestricted license in California
  • Required license types: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Must reside in the Pacific Time Zone (PT)
  • Ability to work independently with a strong interest in collaboration and learning
  • Clinical experience working with young people and their families
  • Knowledge of and/or some training in evidence based mental health treatments
  • Comfort with using and learning new technologies, including Zoom, Office, electronic health record systems, and other team collaboration tools
  • Must not have opted out of Medicare

Responsibilities

  • Work 40 hours a week, including
  • 28 hours dedicated to therapy sessions. Typically, we expect therapists to conduct an average of 22-24 sessions per week. You will be assigned a caseload of up to 28 clients
  • 12 hours dedicated to administrative tasts
  • Provide weekly psychotherapy using CBT and other evidence-based practices to children ages 8-17 and young adults over age 18 years
  • Participate in weekly 1-on-1 case consultations, weekly team consultations, peer-only huddles, and ongoing professional development programming. These programs offer opportunities for you to engage and collaborate with other therapists
  • Complete clinical notes and documentations in a timely manner
  • Communicate with your client’s pediatricians, school counselors, and other members of their family, as needed
