Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in leading scrum teams using agile and scrum principles
  • 5+ years of experience as a Sr. Business Analyst, including testing, documenting and gathering requirements, maintaining technical documentation
  • Strong relationship-building and client communication skills
  • Collaboration and team focus with internal teams, PM, and leaders
  • A track record of delivering on your commitments
  • Proven ability to be analytical, organized, detail-oriented and a good problem solver
  • Comfort dealing with frequent changes and juggling tasks
  • A desire to belong to a smart, committed, fast-paced team
  • Bilingual (French/English)
  • Experience using MS Office Suite, including Visio and Project

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate all scrum ceremonies, including Sprint planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective
  • Facilitate backlog grooming and refinement sessions as in an input into Sprint Planning
  • Ensure daily priorities are clearly communicated
  • Track sprint health and team velocity as an input to product roadmap and project timelines
  • Assist Product Manager in measuring and stabilizing team velocity
  • Support continuous improvement through the commitment to Agile principles and methodology
  • Assist team in removing blockers or impediments that prevent them from meeting sprint objective
  • Collaborate with developers, IT Operations, and the Product Manager to explore issues and resolve problems
  • Make suggestions for improvement of development methodologies by defining/measuring standards and procedures
  • Support delivery of the final product(s), potentially includes both creation of deliverables and quality control
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other SME’s and stakeholders to write complex business requirements (40% of time allocated)
  • Ensure product documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Periodically review and maintain documentation as changes occur
  • Work with our external technical vendors to troubleshoot issues and optimize processes
  • Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making
  • Successfully engage with multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent prioritization and time management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with JIRA
  • Experience in the Life Insurance Industry
