Requirements
- Be proficient in Java with hands-on experience writing automated test scripts
- Have expertise in using Selenium for web application automation and Appium for mobile application automation (Android/iOS)
- Have experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber) for both web and mobile applications
- Be familiar with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or similar for integrating automated tests into the development pipeline
- Be proficient in using Git for source code versioning and management
- Have strong experience in creating and managing test cases, test plans, and related documentation
- Have excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills for resolving issues during test automation execution
- Have knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), particularly Agile methodologies and working in Agile teams
- Have a Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Have 5 years of hands-on experience in test automation using Java, Selenium, and Appium
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain reusable automation test scripts and frameworks for both web and mobile web using Java, Selenium, and Appium
- Execute automated test scripts, analyze results, and troubleshoot issues for continuous integration and testing cycles
- Work closely with the QA team to convert manual test cases into automated test scripts for regression, functional, and performance testing
- Implement automation for cross-browser testing (using Selenium) and cross-platform mobile browser testing (using Appium) to ensure compatibility across different environments and devices
- Integrate automated test scripts with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) to enable continuous testing in an agile environment
- Log and track issues in a bug tracking system (e.g., JIRA), providing clear and detailed reports on findings, along with test coverage metrics and areas of improvement
- Collaborate with functional testers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and improve automation testing strategies
- Ensure the availability of appropriate test data for automated testing and manage test environments effectively
- Continuously maintain and update automated test scripts to accommodate changes in application functionality and improve testing efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Have hands-on experience testing and automating applications on mobile browsers using Appium
- Be familiar with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., Sauce Labs, BrowserStack) for cross-browser and cross-device testing
- Have the ability to set up and maintain automation scripts in CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and delivery
- Have strong knowledge of Git workflows, including branching, merging, and conflict resolution
