SDET Python Automation Engineer

Summary

Join Encora as a Python Test Engineer in Brazil and work remotely! Collaborate with engineers to understand features and create test strategies and cases. You will ensure software quality by following established procedures. This role requires proven Python development and testing experience, along with experience in various testing frameworks and tools. Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and CI/CD is essential. The ideal candidate will also possess experience with AWS tools and project management software.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a software developer with Python
• Experience with testing (manual or automation)
• Ability to work as part of a Scrum team
• Demonstrated experience in developing Python scripts for testing, using IDEs such as PyCharm or IDLE
• Demonstrated ability to use JSON
• Experience in testing frameworks like Pytest, Selenium
• Experience with automation testing of UI features using Selenium Webdriver
• Good knowledge and experience in version control tools like git
• Experience in automating tests in CI/CD
• Experience in RESTful API testing using Postman or Katalon or JMeter
• Proficient in SQL queries and hands-on exposure to various databases

Responsibilities

• Create custom tools and frameworks to support test automation, using modern development and test automation frameworks as needed
• Feel comfortable architecting strategic solutions for overall testing efforts
• Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggest actions for improvement
• Following guidelines set from the quality group, ensuring that all steps in quality are being followed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Project Management tools like Jira, Rally, ServiceNow
• Knowledge/Exposure to AWS tools like: Lambdas, DynamoDB, Step Functions, S3
• Knowledge of test methodologies and their corresponding tools (e.x., SIPp, JMeter, Gatling, k6)
• Experience with testing and delivering SaaS products
• Able to connect best practices with the daily activities
