Security Advisor

Summary

Join our team as a Security Advisor and play a vital role in securing government identity card systems. You will collaborate with government agencies, assess security risks, develop and implement security policies, conduct audits, and provide training. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience in information security, and a deep understanding of government regulations. The ideal candidate will possess professional certifications such as CISSP or CISM. This is a remote, full-time position offering a competitive salary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in information security with a focus on government projects or identity management
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO/IEC 27001)
• Experience with identity and access management systems
• Understanding of government regulatory requirements for identity security
• Strong technical understanding of security architectures and technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Assess and analyze security risks associated with identity card systems and processes
• Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure compliance with government regulations
• Collaborate with technical teams to design secure identity systems and implement security controls throughout the system lifecycle
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments; report on system vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies
• Provide security awareness training to stakeholders and team members
• Stay updated on the latest security threats and trends in the Government Identity sector
• Serve as a point of contact for government agencies regarding security inquiries and best practices
• Work within a project management framework to ensure timely delivery of security services
• Engage in incident response planning and disaster recovery strategies relating to identity security breaches
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are preferred
