Security Engineering Manager

Summary

Join Garner's growing team as a Security Engineering Manager, ensuring the effective delivery and support of the company's security program. You will be responsible for the tactical execution of security controls, maintaining compliance, developing the security team, and establishing quality processes. This role reports to the VP of Information Security and requires 6+ years of hands-on security engineering experience and 2+ years of management experience. The ideal candidate possesses relevant industry accreditations like CISSP and a strong ability to communicate technical concepts. Garner offers a competitive salary ($220,000 - $250,000) and benefits, including equity incentives and a supportive work environment.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands on security engineering experience, including data and cloud security
• 2+ years of hands on security/engineering management experience
• Relevant industry accreditations, including (or similar to) CISSP
• Demonstrated ability to communicate security engineering concepts to stakeholders
• Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Garner does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time

Responsibilities

• The tactical delivery, execution, and operations of the security program and its controls
• Maintaining required compliance accreditations
• Retaining and developing the engineers on the security team
• Establishing quality processes that aid and ease the adoption of security controls
