Senior 3D Artist - Generalist

Summary

Join Snowed in Studios, a Keywords Studios company in Ottawa, Canada, as a Senior 3D Artist. You'll collaborate with client studios on AAA game projects, creating high-quality game assets. This role involves diverse 3D art disciplines, from sculpting and modeling to texturing and engine integration. The ideal candidate possesses 6+ years of professional experience in 3D video game art, a proven track record of shipped titles, and experience working with external clients. Requirements

• 6+ years professional experience in 3D video game art or animation
• Shipped game title(s) on mobile, console and/or PC
• Experience working directly with external clients and stakeholders
• Experience with modern game engines such as Unity, Unreal Engine and/or proprietary game engines
• Ability to match art styles and create assets consistent with existing IP

Responsibilities

• Work closely with client studios to bring their games and features to realization
• Work with other artists and directors to create beautiful, game-ready art assets
• Collaborate with stakeholders to realize their vision
• Work in a variety of realistic and stylized art styles on characters, environments, vehicles and props
• Problem solve in the 3D asset pipeline
• Work with artists, designers and developers in-engine to integrate and optimize art assets
• Ensure tasks are well broken down and estimates are reasonable

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading art teams
• Strong 3D animation experience
• Technical art, shader/blueprint writing
• In-engine lighting experience
