Senior Accountant

Summary

The job is for a Senior Accountant position at a fast-growing international consulting firm headquartered in the UK. The role involves end-to-end invoice processing, financial record accuracy, and various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience, proficiency in IFRS and US GAAP, fluency in English, and a service-oriented mindset.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional experience in accounting and financial reporting
• Accountancy certificate is desirable
• Proficiency in IFRS and US GAAP
• Excellent command of MS-Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with SAP and Oracle
• Fluency in English is a must; additional languages are a plus
• Independent, flexible, and proactive working style with the ability to manage workload peaks
• A service and result-focused team player with a hands-on mentality, proactive attitude, and open mind

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries related to pre-paid expenses, provisions, fixed-asset transactions, bank transfers, and more
• Conduct and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Handle daily bank transaction postings and inter-company transaction analyses
• Calculate and prepare fiscal month-end accruals. Prepare and review the trial balance
• Post various taxes including VAT and corporate taxes
• Prepare financial packages and ad-hoc business unit reports
• Serve as the interface between accounting, controlling, and other internal departments
• Ensure SOX compliance through meticulous monthly balance sheet reconciliations and deliver precise period-end accounts
• Lead projects aimed at enhancing the General Accounting function
• Support team members and collaborate effectively with peers across departments
