Summary
Join AffiniPay's dynamic Business Intelligence & Analytics team as a Senior Analyst, Product Intelligence! You will directly support the Product team, leveraging data insights to influence product strategy and investment decisions. This role requires a strong understanding of the SaaS business model and product analytics, with a proven ability to uncover growth opportunities and lead indicators of business impact. You will partner with product managers, data analysts, and designers to create insightful data visualizations and reports. Responsibilities include conducting various analyses (cohort, funnel, A/B testing), managing data hygiene, writing SQL queries, and ensuring data accuracy. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of experience in product analytics within a SaaS company and strong proficiency in tools like Mixpanel and Tableau.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product analytics or a similar role, with relevant experience at a SaaS technology company
- Good understanding of data structures and pipelines with strong proficiency in product analytics tools (e.g. Mixpanel or Amplitude experience is a must, with a strong preference for Mixpanel experience) and a point-of-view of what belongs there vs a general purpose BI Tool, (e.g, Tableau)
- Demonstrable track record of creating impactful dashboards and reports with strong visualizations and story-telling
- Proficient in SQL, quantitative, and qualitative analysis, with ability to deep dive into large amounts of data, draw meaningful insights, dissect business issues and draw actionable conclusions
- Fluency in defining KPIs, features & usage metrics (adoption, conversion, retention, satisfaction, & segmentation) statistical and predictive modeling concepts, descriptive statistics, experimental design, and multivariate A/B testing
- 2+ years experience working within a product team, with a focus on measuring success of launches, leveraging data to drive product decisions, designing product experiments, and defining usage patterns by user archetypes
- A passion for data and analytics, with a strong background in identifying opportunities at SaaS technology companies through strong visualizations and story-telling
- Bachelorโs degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
- Strong product sense and experience working closely with product managers to drive product strategy and influence growth levers from free trial to cross-sell to retention
- Strong attention to detail and independent problem solver with a drive to understand the core issue and determination to uncover the solution
- Exceptional communication (listening, written, and oral) skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations targeted to the audience in question
- A collaborative mindset, ready to work cross-functionally and contribute to team success
- Genuine customer empathy to find solutions to improve the lives of our users
Responsibilities
- Leveraging a deep understanding of AffiniPay products, customers & business goals, use analytical and statistical rigor to identify insights and opportunities that influence business decisions and improve business performance
- Employ data-driven techniques to help our team prioritize the product roadmap and measure the success of launches using analytical frameworks such as cohort analysis, funnel analysis, A/B testing, segmentation, etc
- Collaborate with data analysts, product, and design to create insightful data visualizations that tell stories, identify opportunities, and inform decision-making
- Use Mixpanel and Tableau to build high-quality dashboards and reports to provide compelling, clear, and powerful visualizations of user behavior, product performance, and market trends
- Establish regular analysis and reporting of insights from a variety of sources such as customer feedback, support cases, Win/Loss analyses, NPS, churn, product usage, competitive intelligence, and market trends. Use this data to create valuable insights that drive product strategy and business metrics
- Develop appropriate analytical frameworks to drive better decision-making, such as cohort analysis, funnel analysis, A/B testing, segmentation, etc
- Partner with key stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making during all aspects of the product life cycle and translate analytical insights into clear, actionable plans to improve product functionality and user experience
- Review the data we have available across our customer journey and partner with Product & Engineering to increase comprehensiveness and quality
- Oversee data hygiene and analytics implementation in Mixpanel and partner with Data Engineering to ensure consistency, scalability, and connectivity to other data stores
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to generate dashboards and reports and work with Data Engineering to ensure access to performant data
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by working with Data Engineering and Biz Ops to perform regular data audits and implement processes that diagnose and resolve data quality issues
