Summary

Join Oscar's Regulatory Affairs team as a Senior Analyst, Regulatory Operations! You will be responsible for managing and supporting tasks to ensure compliance with federal and state product filing requirements. This role involves working with internal teams and external regulators, managing the preparation and filing of insurance products, developing internal tracking processes, and building relationships with regulatory bodies. You will also serve as a subject matter expert, contributing to procedural guides and resolving filing objections. The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 1+ years of SERFF and HIOS experience, and demonstrated project management skills. The role is a blended work culture, with a remote option available for those outside commuting distance of the Tempe office. The base pay is $33.23 - $43.62 per hour, with additional benefits.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of SERFF and HIOS experience
  • Demonstrated project management skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage the preparation and filing of Oscar's commercial insurance products through the annual Form & Binder Filings for assigned states and regions, serving as an advisor to teams
  • Develop processes for internal tracking and monitoring annual and ad hoc filings with diverse teams, including maintaining a repository of previously received objections to decrease YOY objection totals
  • Build and support successful relationships with regulatory bodies, including state insurance regulators (e.g., Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, Michigan's Department of Insurance and Financial Services, North Carolina Department of Insurance, Ohio Department of Insurance, Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance), state-based exchanges (e.g., Georgia Access, New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance, New York State of Health, Pennsylvania Insurance Department and Virginia Bureau of Insurance), and federal insurance regulators (CMS, CCIIO)
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned states and contribute to the development of a repository of internal procedural guides on annual filing obligations to support teams and retain institutional knowledge
  • Track and communicate filing objections received and lead overall resolution together with impacted teams
  • Develop sustainable processes which simplify our growing team's outputs while ensuring high quality deliverables
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
