Summary

Join Flywire as an Analytics Engineer and bridge the gap between Data Engineering and Reporting. You will manage the dbt environment, optimize models, and productionalize complex logic. Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Economics, Mathematics, or Computer Science
  • 5+ years of experience in an Analytics role
  • Strong proficiency in SQL
  • Strong proficiency with dbt
  • Knowledge with Modeling techniques as Dimensional Model, Relational Model
  • Experience with a cloud data warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift)
  • Experience with git and CI/CD deployments
  • Experience with Python and Docker
  • Ability to communicate and follow up with internal stakeholders in a timely manner and excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Own, manage, and further our full dbt environment and related tooling
  • Manage efficient materializations of streaming data to balance efficiency and latency
  • Explore and implement additional tools to support the wider Analytics team
  • Productionalize complex logic and queries into โ€œgold standardโ€ datasets
  • Provide dbt support throughout the company
  • Optimize dbt models for efficiency, clarity, and scalability
  • Remove and reduce technical debt and automate manual operations
  • Treat data as a product and enforce testing and CI to catch errors early
  • Work with and support company-wide data science/AI initiatives
  • Become a subject matter expert to support all business segments
  • Work with engineering and product teams to understand and model our data
  • Drive change by identifying areas for improvement while analyzing data

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with dbt-Elementary or Great Expectations
  • Experience with dbt-Osmosis or Great Expectations
  • Experience with BI Tools (Looker or Preset)
