Summary
Join JumpCloud's Enterprise Data and Analytics team as a Senior Analytics Engineer and play a critical role in driving core reporting, data modeling, and self-service data access. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, own project outcomes, gather requirements, mentor other analysts, and support strategic decision-making. Success requires advanced SQL and data modeling skills, experience with various tools and languages, and strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. The role is remote in Mexico and requires fluency in English. JumpCloud offers a fast-paced, supportive environment with opportunities for growth and collaboration.
Requirements
- Possess advanced knowledge and experience in SQL and relational databases
- Possess advanced knowledge in data modeling, data infrastructure, and ELT process to support analytics and business operations
- Possess advanced understanding of coding and markup languages and can create complex queries from multiple data sources, views, and tables and have an understanding of our company's data architecture and how to apply it
- Possess intermediate knowledge and experience with scripting languages such as Python (Jupyter, Pandas, Numpy) and/or R (tidyverse, dplyr, ggplot2)
- Possess advanced quantitative experience
- Possess intermediate analytical skills and a passion for data storytelling and quantitative analysis
- Possess proficiency in one or more business Intelligence / data visualization tools
- Possess strong mentoring skills
- Possess strong attention to detail and desire to learn
- Possess effective stakeholder management skills and communication skills
- Possess experience with Data Governance best practices
- Possess effective project management and organizational skills
- Possess experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, unstructured, dynamic environment
- Possess a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field
Responsibilities
- Collaborate and drive large, impactful projects involving data modeling and data curation for optimized analytics and business use with involvement across various stakeholders, business units, and technical partners
- Own the outcomes of the analytics initiatives youβre leading
- Gather requirements and provide actionable recommendations to technical stakeholders, driving adoption and execution of recommendations
- Mentor and grow the other analysts and engineers across the organization
- Support team's project management, strategic decision-making, and long-term planning
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in analytics engineering, data modeling, and data governance and apply them to support our business needs
