Summary

Join Abnormal Security as a Senior Analytics Engineer and contribute to the development and deployment of their analytics stack. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end data pipeline, including data warehousing, modeling, and business intelligence. This role involves collaborating with data engineering clients to design and maintain data models and visualizations, optimizing data warehousing processes, and empowering users to explore data independently. You will also implement best practices for data cataloging and documentation to enhance data literacy and adoption across the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical field
  • 6+ years of experience as an Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in SQL and advanced knowledge of at least one scripting or statistical programming language (Python, R)
  • Strong understanding of analytical data-warehousing concepts
  • Ability to write clear documentation and communicate complex technical topics to non-technical users
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize, unblock, flag risks, and push progress forward
  • Experience working in relational data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Databricks
  • Experience with data transformation tools such as DBT, DLT or SQLMesh
  • Experience with Extract and Load tools such as Fivetran, Airbyte or custom Python scripting

Responsibilities

  • Partner with clients of Data Engineering to design and maintain reliable data models and visualizations that allow for seamless reporting and analysis
  • Optimize data warehousing processes by enhancing existing data models, building net new models and implementing best practices for data quality testing
  • Empower end users throughout the company to independently explore and answer data-related questions using well-organized and intuitive datasets
  • Implement cataloging and documentation best practices in order to raise data literacy and adoption of our data products across the company

Preferred Qualifications

Finance or Sales and Marketing Analytics related experience

  • Base salary range: $178,500 β€” $210,000 USD
