Join Foodsmart, a leading telenutrition and foodcare solution, as the Senior Director, Business Intelligence and Strategic Analytics. This role will lead the transformation of Foodsmart's data and analytics strategy, building a high-performing analytics and insights function. You will report to the CFO and work closely with the executive team to enable data-driven decisions across the organization. This is a business analytics role where you will own the analytics layer of the company, designing scalable reporting systems, leading a team of analysts and data scientists, driving insights that inform strategy and operations, and building a culture of data-driven decision-making. You will partner with the Data Engineering team to ensure efficient analytics and reporting, and establish a reporting framework that reduces manual reporting, enhances organizational alignment, and delivers timely insights to senior leadership.
Requirements
- A strategic and execution-oriented leader with experience building and scaling analytics functions in complex, data-rich environments
- Skilled in translating business problems into data solutionsβand vice versa
- Comfortable partnering across functions, especially Finance, Clinical Programs, Operations, and Technology
- Adept at both leading high-level strategy and getting into the details to ensure quality and relevance
- A strong collaborator with technical and non-technical teams alike, capable of aligning business needs with data capabilities
- 10+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or healthcare economics roles, ideally with experience in healthcare or tech-enabled services
- Proven track record of building centralized BI functions that drive measurable business outcomes
- Experience managing teams of analysts, data scientists, and BI developers, with a focus on impact and innovation
- Strong command of BI tools and frameworks (e.g., Looker, Tableau, dbt, SQL) and understanding of data governance best practices
- A mindset of continuous improvement, with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and impact
- Experience working alongside Data Engineering teams, with a clear understanding of role boundaries and collaboration points
- Strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights that influence executive decision-making
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate analytical findings into compelling narratives for diverse audiences
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities shift and cross-functional collaboration is key
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a centralized Business Intelligence function that partners across departments including Clinical Operations, Finance, Product, Strategy, and Client Development and Implementation Services
- Translate business needs into scalable data products, dashboards, and insight-generation tools to drive organizational performance
- Partner with senior leaders to surface actionable insights and guide data-driven decisions on key business priorities such as growth strategy, clinical efficiency, and client performance
- Lead strategic deep dives and ad hoc analysis to evaluate business performance, assess opportunities, and inform roadmap prioritization
- Own the BI toolset (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI), standardize definitions and KPIs, and lead the governance of company-wide reporting
- Direct a team of analysts and data scientists, prioritizing high-impact work that supports strategic initiatives, forecasting, and operational excellence
- Partner with FP&A to enhance forecasting capabilities and expand forward-looking decision support
- Collaborate with Data Engineering to align on requirements for data modeling and infrastructure that enable efficient analytics and reporting
- Establish a reporting framework that reduces manual reporting, enhances organizational alignment, and delivers timely insights to senior leadership
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in analytics, experimentation, and predictive modeling to optimize business outcomes
