Senior Automation Engineer

Summary

Based in Pune, India, you will design and execute test plans, create and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and C#, perform manual testing, collaborate with development teams, and participate in code reviews. This role requires 6+ years of software testing experience, including 3+ years in automated testing of microservices. Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software testing, with 3+ years in automated testing of microservices written using C#
• Hands-on experience with Selenium automation testing
• Strong understanding of test automation design patterns, tools
• Experience in creating clear test plans, scripts, and reporting results
• Practical experience in manual and automated testing across UI, business logic, data access, and APIs
• Experience in API/Web Services Testing using tools like Postman
• Familiarity with cross-browser and non-functional testing strategies
• Proficient in SQL and Jenkins for CI/CD

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans for functional, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium
• Should have working knowledge on C# and microservice deployment and testing
• Perform manual testing where necessary to ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve defects effectively
• Participate in code reviews and advocate for QA best practices
• Ensure efficient use of tools and processes, including version control systems and CI/CD pipelines
• Continuously enhance testing processes and methodologies to improve quality and reliability
• Participate and contribute to team Scrum ceremonies
• Create and maintain the required documentation
• Is a team player

Preferred Qualifications

• ISTQB certification (or equivalent) preferred
• Familiarity and/or experience with public cloud infrastructures and technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Performance testing of API and UI based applications
