Summary

Rackspace Technology is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in Azure to support their customers during cloud transformation. The role involves designing and implementing scalable software services, executing cloud engineering tasks within sprint cycles, creating cloud solutions for new customers using cloud-native components, and presenting architectures to clients of varying technical proficiency.

Requirements

• Strong technical expertise with experience in complex projects from conception to delivery, to provide automated, secure, and robust Cloud Infrastructure solutions
• Extensive technical knowledge to support customers in optimizing their workloads by providing application-oriented support for creating, deploying, integrating, scaling, and repairing using native Azure and Third-Party Toolchains as well as automation-focused agile principles
• Practical and advisory skills to support customers in tasks such as resource provisioning, changing Cloud environments, performing upgrades, and resolving daily customer issues
• Active participation in technical discussions at all levels, from architecture to practical programming
• Good infrastructure technology knowledge is beneficial, as is a programming background

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable software services together with Engineering and Architecture teams
• Perform cloud engineering tasks within sprint cycles, aligned with Best Practices and Templates within a customer project team
• Create cloud solutions for new customers using cloud-native components
• Use fundamental architectures and components to build automated Cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, and supporting Service Frameworks
• Present architectures for customers at various levels, from Developers to Executive Personnel
• Advise leadership and end-users with varying familiarity with Cloud technologies on technology selection, Best Practices, and benefits

Preferred Qualifications

Strong communication skills, experience in customer contact is desirable
