Senior Backend Engineer in Singapore

Summary

At Paradigm, a zero-fee institutional liquidity network for derivatives traders across CeFi and DeFi markets, an engineer will join an established team to design, develop, and maintain backend services. The role involves key contributions to upcoming projects, effective collaboration with other engineers, and on-call rotations. The company has already delivered a high-performing margin system and aims to become the #1 decentralized exchange in the market.

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience
• Expert proficiency in working with Golang
• Professional experience working in SQL, Caching, Distributed Messaging Systems, Monitoring and Scaling Microservice Oriented Systems
• Experience working with websocket architecture and implementation
• Experience demonstrating high impact and influence in previous organizations
• Experience working effectively with team members across different time zones

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the backend services
• Work effectively with other talented engineers to deliver and lead projects end to end
• Deliver meaningful impact and influence to the team and business
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure platform integrity and stability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with distributed systems: Kafka/Postgres/Redis
• Experience working with cloud-native AWS infrastructure and/or Kubernetes
