Senior Bi Backend Developer

Summary

Join KOSTAL Group, a global leader in solar and automotive solutions, as a Senior BI Backend Developer in their new Hungarian business service center. This role involves maintaining and supporting BI tools, collaborating with architects on solution design, and developing data flows and models within the SAP BW/HANA environment. Requirements

• Hold a university degree in IT or a similar field
• Have at least 8 years of experience in the BI world
• Possess expertise in SAP BW on HANA
• Have strong knowledge of SAP BW on HANA architecture and data modeling
• Have experience with ADSO, Composite Providers, Open ODS Views, and SAP HANA Calculation Views
• Be proficient in native SAP HANA data modeling
• Have skills in SQL and HANA Script
• Understand ETL Processes and Data Integration
• Have the ability to integrate data from various source systems (both SAP and non-SAP)
• Have ABAP Development experience, particularly for minor custom developments in the SAP BW context (e.g., routines, user exits)
• Have experience with Reporting Tools and familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Analysis for Office, or other frontend tools integrated with BW
• Have experience with implementation, migration, and optimization projects in the SAP BW domain
• Have the ability to design and execute end-to-end architectures
• Have familiarity with various SAP modules such as FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, or HR and their data models in BW
• Have the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Have experience working in agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) as well as traditional waterfall methodologies
• Be proficient in creating technical documentation and specifications
• Have experience with both automated and manual testing processes
• Be fluent in English
• Possess analytical thinking skills and the ability to analyze complex problems and develop structured solutions
• Possess strong communication skills and the ability to interact with business stakeholders, clients, and internal teams, bridging the gap between technical and functional requirements
• Have the capability to work independently while contributing effectively to team efforts
• Show willingness to adapt to new technologies and stay updated within the SAP ecosystem

Responsibilities

• Detail the solution design in close cooperation with solution architects
• Create SAP-BW data flows, data models, and CDS views
• Create/develop extractors to SAP and non-SAP applications
• Implement smaller routines in ABAP
• Create programming requests for the internal development team or external programmers
• Steer external consultants and/or developers
• Participate in the S/4Hana / BW4Hana rollout project

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with SAP module SD
