Summary

Join OLX's Analytics, Monetisation and Pricing team as a Senior Business Analyst and leverage vast datasets to create innovative tools and deliver in-depth analysis for critical business decisions. Collaborate with the management team on strategic topics, work with commercial stakeholders on sales strategy and customer behavior, and convert data into actionable insights. Collaborate with the European Data & Analytics team, lead data projects to enhance team performance, optimize automated processes, and provide guidance and training. This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills, along with proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Python. Requirements

  • Fluency in English
  • 3+ years of experience in analytics, ideally in data, business, or product analytics roles
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent skills in communication, presentation, and project management
  • Proficient in transforming unorganized data into actionable insights that fuel decisions-making
  • Skilled in developing hypotheses, interpreting data in a business context, and deriving actionable recommendations
  • Solid SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL/ Redshift preferred) and Excel, with hands-on experience in Python data analysis
  • Naturally curious, fostering innovation

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Management Team to gain exposure to strategic topics and use data to answer our most critical business questions
  • Work together with key commercial stakeholders on topics such as sales strategy, segmentation, competitive benchmarking, market potential assessment, performance improvement or better understanding customer behavior and value delivery
  • Convert data from diverse sources into actionable insights to support decision-making
  • Collaborate with the Data & Analytics team in Europe to exchange knowledge and ensure data and tools consistency
  • Lead data projects to equip business teams with tools for enhanced performance
  • Optimize automated processes and adopt industry best practices (including where applicable the use of AI tools/ data science methods) for the Analytics team
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to develop team skills and competencies within the analytics tribe

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with data visualization tools and telling stories through data (Tableau is a plus)
  • Experience in e-commerce, digital marketplaces, or data-intensive businesses is highly desirable
