Responsibilities include building a qualified pipeline, meeting with prospects, representing May Mobility at industry events, and leading negotiations. The ideal candidate possesses significant experience in business development and fleet sales within the transportation sector.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in business development, fleet sales or transportation
- Ability to travel approximately 25-50% of the time
- Valid driverโs license and clean driving record for at least 3 years
- Ability to operate and drive May Mobility vehicles
Responsibilities
- Build a qualified pipeline by finding new opportunities for May Mobility in the B2B space and defining which partners to engage and how to engage them. Successfully move business opportunities through prospecting, proposals, and contracting to service launch
- Meet with prospects and external stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges. Present May Mobilityโs solutions and report key learnings back to internal stakeholders
- Be comfortable managing multiple business verticals, serving as an industry expert, customizing messaging and approach to fit the needs of different clients and building relationships across all levels of an organization
- Represent May Mobility with high energy and enthusiasm at industry events, trade shows, and organizational forums, showcasing a genuine passion for AV innovation and the future of mobility
- Own, design and execute business development deals from POC to scaled operations. This will require development of supporting materials throughout the sales lifecycle and ability to define compelling win-win partnerships that drive prospects further down the funnel
- Lead negotiation, drafting of agreements and definition of partnership terms
- Source RFP opportunities. Work with key internal stakeholders including Director of Sales & Business Development, Policy & Advocacy, RFP Manager, Product, Customer Success and Engineering teams to write and submit compelling project applications
- Develop strategic recommendations, targeting strategies and business proposals that grow Mayโs business
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience proving out new technology use cases in evolving markets; successful sales experience in a start-up or high-growth environment preferred
- Proven experience selling transportation solutions in two or more of the following verticals including but not limited to: aviation, healthcare, corporate, university, private sector operators, or other scalable markets; experience selling fleets (25+ vehicles) strongly preferred
- High attention to detail, outstanding verbal and written communication skills across multiple platforms
- Passionate about the autonomous vehicle space
- Strong understanding of mobility patterns and trends
- Experience with RFX proposals
