Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, data analysis, or a related field, with a proven track record of leading high-impact projects
- Degree in Administration, Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Expertise in SQL, with a strong ability to optimize queries and work with complex datasets
- Advanced skills in data storytelling, visualization, and exploration, enabling you to present insights that drive strategic decisions
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Extensive experience designing and developing dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools tailored to diverse business needs
- Proven experience working with Looker or similar BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), with the ability to build scalable and insightful analytics solutions
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken
Responsibilities
- Designing and Optimizing Data Models: Leverage advanced LookML (SQL-based) capabilities to design, implement, and optimize scalable and efficient table structures that support complex business intelligence needs. Ensure data models align with best practices for performance and usability
- Advanced Data Analysis and Strategic Insights: Partner with product, operations, and engineering teams to conduct in-depth data analyses. Your expertise will drive actionable insights that influence high-level decision-making and strategy across the organization
- Sophisticated Data Visualization and Storytelling: Create impactful, intuitive, and visually compelling dashboards and reports. Use your creativity and technical acumen to craft data-driven stories that resonate with diverse audiences, from executives to operational teams
- Leadership in Collaboration and Ambassadorship: Act as a critical connector between business units and the Data Science team. Translate complex business challenges into technical solutions, facilitate data-driven experiments, and collaborate on the development of machine learning models. Your leadership will foster alignment, drive innovation, and ensure the successful integration of data insights into business strategies
- Mentorship and Best Practices: Share your expertise by mentoring junior team members and championing best practices in BI tools, data modeling, and visualization
Preferred Qualifications
- Have extensive experience with Looker (LookML), including creating scalable and efficient data models
- Possess expertise in advanced analytics techniques, such as predictive modeling or machine learning
- Are skilled in causal analysis and experimentation (e.g., A/B testing)
- Have experience with tools and technologies such as Git, R, Python, and/or Databricks
