Summary

Tecton is hiring a Business Value Consultant to join their team and build the Value Acceleration function. The role involves owning value projection and realization frameworks, articulating business value propositions, partnering with various teams, quantifying business value, and collaborating with sales and customer success teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree/MBA preferred but not required
  • 5+ years in a Business Value, Value Engineering, or similar positions (i.e. experience as part of an enterprise software sales or pre-sales team)
  • Understanding of how big data, analytics, ML/AI support businesses and drive growth
  • Experience in a sales or sales engineering role in a high-growth technology company
  • Consultative approach working externally with customers as well as internal stakeholders
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills; articulate and professional
  • A thought leader and evangelist, comfortable speaking in front of an audience
  • Expert business case practitioner as applied to selling technology solutions
  • Strong command of business case frameworks that use story-telling and financial concepts like revenue gain, cost savings, risk reduction, cash flow, and ROI financial metrics (NPV, IRR, Payback)

Responsibilities

  • Own the Value Acceleration function for Tecton and develop robust, quantifiable value projection and value realization frameworks
  • Articulate the business value proposition in a concise, focused message using language that each internal and external stakeholders understand
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product to develop frameworks for Tecton’s core platform and new feature launches as they happen
  • Contribute to sales opportunities by directly engaging with sales teams, prospects, and customers to build the CFO-ready business case or document business value realized by leveraging Tecton’s data platform
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Customer Success teams in defining and executing customer acquisition, growth, and retention strategies
  • Quantify business value by translating technical advantages to specific financial results and business outcomes
  • Ensure strong partnerships with account teams (AE, SA, CSMs) to track the impact of customer use cases and how they map to the various tenants of Tecton’s Value Acceleration Program
  • Craft Enablement program teaching the tenets of Value Acceleration during onboarding and training of field-facing roles (Sales, customer success, professional services)
  • Work with Marketing to evangelize the business value of Tecton inside and outside the company through presentations, blogs, webinars, and white-papers
  • Drive innovation in the development of and adoption of Value Acceleration tools and resources that you launch
  • Lead the sales team through the delivery of content, methods, and tools for value measurement and calculation
