Requirements
- Bachelorβs Degree
- 8 years of relevant experience in clinical recruiting, with a minimum of 3 years focused on staffing VA clinical positions
- Proven expertise in recruiting for clinical roles within the VA system, including a strong understanding of the VA's unique staffing, credentialing, and state-specific licensure requirements
- Experience supporting credentialing processes, including reviewing certifications, assisting with documentation, and ensuring compliance with VA requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal contracting requirements and regulations related to clinical staffing in VA facilities
Responsibilities
- Source, recruit, and screen candidates for clinical positions within VA healthcare facilities, ensuring alignment with specific job and state licensing requirements
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand VA-specific staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job posting through candidate selection, while supporting the credentialing and onboarding processes to ensure recruits meet state and VA credentialing standards
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified clinical candidates through networking, referrals, direct sourcing, and engagement with veteran and military-focused recruiting events
- Support the credentialing team by facilitating necessary documentation, verifying certifications, and ensuring candidates meet all VA, federal, and state-specific credentialing and licensure requirements
- Stay informed of relevant healthcare laws, regulations, and VA-specific credentialing processes to ensure compliance
- Assist with onboarding new hires by coordinating with various departments to complete onboarding requirements, ensuring smooth transitions for new staff
- Provide regular reports and updates on recruitment metrics, candidate status, and hiring progress to leadership
- Assist in developing recruitment best practices for VA clinical roles, enhancing strategies to attract top clinical talent
- Maintain knowledge of healthcare industry trends, competitive intelligence, and labor market conditions to strengthen recruitment efforts
Preferred Qualifications
- Masterβs Degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP)
- Certification in healthcare recruitment (e.g., Certified Medical Staff Recruiter (CMSR) or Certified Healthcare Recruiter (CHCR))
