Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles, with a strong focus on Azure
- Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure Key Vault, Azure SQL, Azure Networking, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Strong proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools such as Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools
- Proven experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation
- Deep understanding of identity and access management in Azure using Azure AD, role-based access control (RBAC), and Managed Identities
- Strong experience in monitoring, alerting, and observability using tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and integrations with platforms like Datadog or Prometheus/Grafana
- Solid grasp of networking principles in cloud environments, including VNETs, NSGs, Application Gateways, and Private Endpoints
- Knowledge of cloud security principles, encryption, compliance frameworks, and implementing secure cloud architectures
- Familiarity with container orchestration and microservices architecture, especially AKS and Docker
- Experience with disaster recovery, backup strategies, and cost optimization in cloud environments
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure using Azure services
- Lead cloud architecture and platform decisions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and business goals
- Build and maintain reusable infrastructure patterns and blueprints to streamline deployments across environments
- Automate deployment and configuration tasks using IaC, scripts, and DevOps pipelines
- Integrate security and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines to support a shift-left approach to DevSecOps
- Ensure that cloud environments meet regulatory and security standards, implementing policies, controls, and audit practices
- Stay up to date on emerging security threats and implement strategies to mitigate them
- Define, implement, and monitor KPIs such as system uptime, deployment success rates, and cost efficiency
- Continuously analyze and optimize cloud performance, availability, and costs
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, DevOps, security, and product teams to deliver cloud infrastructure that supports application goals
- Support high-availability environments for critical workloads and participate in incident response processes as needed
- Provide guidance and technical leadership to cloud and DevOps engineers
- Champion cloud best practices, technical excellence, and a culture of learning and experimentation
- Maintain high-quality documentation for cloud architecture, workflows, and operating procedures
- Contribute to defining and evolving internal cloud governance and architectural standards
