Summary

The Senior Cloud Engineer at Unlock Health manages the infrastructure cloud operations and supports the infrastructure needs of the Technology team to launch and maintain new products across the enterprise. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, relevant certifications, and specific years of experience in software development, Linux Cloud System Administration, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, CI/CD pipeline creation and management, high availability database administration, and operating infrastructure for large-scale web applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or equivalent experience
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional or Solutions Architect Professional; or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of Software Development experience required (Python/Rails/Java preferred)
  • 3-5 years of Linux Cloud System Administration experience (AWS preferred)
  • 2-4 years of experience creating Terraform stacks within AWS
  • 2-4 years of experience creating automation playbooks (Ansible preferred)
  • 2-4 years of experience building containers and managing container infrastructure (Docker strongly preferred)
  • 2-4 years of CI/CD pipeline creation and management experience
  • 2-4 years of high availability database administration experience (Postgres and/or MySQL preferred)
  • 2-4 years of experience operating infrastructure for large-scale web applications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the containerized SaaS infrastructure in multiple environments
  • Create and maintain scripts to automate routine processes
  • Utilize open source tools to manage platforms using Infrastructure as Code techniques
  • Work with the Product Technology Team to deploy new versions of software and improve workflow for faster deployments through Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment techniques (CI/CD)
  • Manage data storage availability and performance
  • Create, manage, and tune database high-availability cluster infrastructure
  • Implement tools to monitor critical infrastructure
  • Ensure platform can meet capacity requirements as products scale
  • Manage production reliability to keep systems operating above a 99.99% availability level
  • Follow processes and procedures as designated to ensure HITRUST compliance is maintained
  • Implement technical security measures as defined by the Security/QA/Compliance Manager
  • Support disaster recovery planning and testing for infrastructure
  • Document all processes and systems
  • Manage the infrastructure for internal systems
