Summary

Sanity.io is seeking a Community Experience Engineer to improve the experience of contributing to their ecosystem by enhancing the community platform, providing constructive feedback on contributions, and fostering active engagement for contributors. The role requires 3-5 years of web development experience with a preference for candidates who have worked with Sanity and shipped projects to production.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience as a web developer

Responsibilities

  • Managing and iterating on the roadmap for the Community Studio and Sanity Exchange
  • Writing maintainable and high-quality JavaScript, React, and CSS, with an eye for good design/UX in collaboration with the web team
  • Using the latest web technologies (TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind, Vercel, Sanity)
  • Improving Sanity Exchange's performance with appropriate render methods (SSR, SSG, CSR), caching, image optimization, and other web development best practices
  • Building and maintaining starter templates for popular frameworks
  • Reviewing contributions (e.g., templates, plugins) and providing constructive feedback to maintainers
  • Engaging with contributors on GitHub, ensuring efficient issue resolution
  • Collaborating on other projects in the Developer Education & Community team, like their learning platform, feature demos, celebrating great contributions, and more

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Sanity and shipping projects to production
  • Interest in what makes for a great developer experience and enjoy enabling others to do and share great work
