Senior Consultant

Summary

Join Taproot Foundation, a national nonprofit, as a Senior Consultant on the Advisory Services team. This remote, part-time position will provide additional capacity during the peak busy season. You will lead 2-3 complex engagements, support the delivery of large and complicated engagements, and contribute to projects relating to the updating of systems or processes. This role requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the nonprofit, corporate, consulting, or other sectors, experience with people and client management, excellent communication skills, and strong project management experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience in the nonprofit, corporate, consulting, and/or other sectors. Relevant experience may include but is not limited to professional services, corporate social responsibility, or pro bono program implementation. • Experience with people management
• Experience with client or other external stakeholder management
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Presentation and/or facilitation skills
• Strong project management experience
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, participate in consensus-style decision making, and discern when to take individual initiative as required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Zero to minimal travel may be required (~0-10%)

Responsibilities

• Lead 2–3 engagements, which may be complex and/or require to be staffed solo by the fractional consultant that require adept consulting skills and an understanding of pro bono service, to ensure coordination and success of engagements are high-impact, occur within the agreed-upon timeline, and stay in scope
• Support the service delivery of large, complicated, and/or new engagements, as requested
• Develop new proposals for company partners
• Contribute to projects relating to the updating of systems or processes core to AS’s day-to-day operations and/or the organization at large
• Attend team meetings as requested by the consultant’s supervisor
