Summary

Join TestPros, a leading IT support services company, as a 1099 Consultant for a short-term contract with potential for extension. This role focuses on Red Hat Integration technologies, specifically Red Hat 3scale API Management, for microservices-based applications. As a Senior Consultant, you will design, implement, and manage API management solutions, optimize API gateway configurations, and develop and manage Kafka Topics and AMQ Streams. You will collaborate with a remote delivery team and VA stakeholders, troubleshooting and resolving complex integration issues. U.S. citizenship and a strong background in Red Hat 3scale API Management are required. This remote position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship (required to comply with federal contract requirements)
• Strong experience with Red Hat 3scale API Management and associated technologies
• Hands-on expertise with: Camel Kafka Connector
• Hands-on expertise with: Kafka Topic
• Hands-on expertise with: AMQ Stream / Debezium SQL Connector
• In-depth knowledge of Red Hat Integration tools for microservices-based applications
• Ability to pass a VA background check
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for remote delivery

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Red Hat 3scale API Management solutions
• Optimize API gateway configurations for performance and security
• Configure and deploy Camel Kafka Connectors for seamless data streaming
• Develop and manage Kafka Topics for scalable event-driven architectures
• Implement AMQ Streams for high-throughput messaging solutions
• Utilize Debezium SQL Connectors for change data capture and database synchronization
• Provide expertise in Red Hat Integration technologies tailored for microservices-based architectures
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex API and messaging integration issues
• Work in a remote delivery team environment while coordinating with VA stakeholders
• Participate in technical discussions, providing guidance on best practices and implementation strategies

Preferred Qualifications

• Red Hat Certified Specialist in API Management or other relevant certifications
• Previous experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or federal agencies
• Familiarity with additional Red Hat products and cloud-native solutions
