Summary
Join Kalles Group as a Senior LLM & AI Engineer and lead the design, deployment, and optimization of AI-powered applications using large language models (LLMs). Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver innovative solutions, contribute to MLOps and AIOps best practices, and promote responsible AI use. You will develop and integrate LLM-based applications, fine-tune models, maintain AI application infrastructure, design user interfaces, and ensure documentation and CI/CD standards. Explore new LLMs and tools, partner with other teams to identify AI opportunities, serve as an AI consultant, mentor others, and stay current on AI ethics and best practices. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years of experience in software engineering or AI, proficiency in Python and ML libraries, and experience with LLMs and cloud-based solutions. Kalles Group offers a salary range of $160,000-200,000, benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and paid time off, and a focus on work-life balance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, AI, or machine learning
- Advanced proficiency in Python and modern ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras)
- Hands-on experience working with large language models and NLP concepts (transformers, tokenization, embeddings)
- Proven experience deploying cloud-based solutions in GCP, AWS, or Azure environments
- Understanding of ethical considerations in AI and responsible model design
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence at multiple levels
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban)
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate LLM-based applications using cloud-native tools and APIs
- Fine-tune and evaluate model performance with MLOps pipelines and experimentation frameworks
- Maintain and improve AI application infrastructure using AIOps principles
- Design user interfaces and backend logic to support business-facing AI capabilities
- Ensure documentation, logging, and CI/CD standards for scalable, auditable deployments
- Explore and assess new LLMs, tools, and frameworks to inform solution direction
- Partner closely with operations, program teams, and engineering peers to identify automation and AI opportunities
- Serve as a trusted advisor and AI consultant across stakeholder groups
- Actively mentor others and contribute to a culture of technical excellence
- Stay current on AI ethics, emerging models, and NLP best practices
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen
