Join Version 1, a leading technology services company, as a Content Designer. You will create accessible and user-friendly digital products and services for our clients. Collaborate with agile teams, including user researchers, service designers, and interaction designers, to understand client goals and improve user journeys. Requirements
- Understand agile methodology and how to apply agile ways of working to designing content
- Make sure you and the team has an awareness of user needs and how individual contributions link to broader objectives
- Share work early and often, encourage team and cross-functional collaboration and promote consistency in communications
- Identify important stakeholders, tailoring communication to their needs, and work with teams to build these relationships
- Understand strategies and policies, providing guidance to others on working to deliver the policy intent and the strategic vision
- Identify tasks that will provide insight into a problem
- Formulate hypotheses and make decisions based on user research findings and data
- Translate user stories into content that meets users’ needs and propose suitable designs and solutions
- Use quantitative and qualitative data about users to turn user insights into outcomes
- Make complex language and processes easy to understand, presenting the right information at the right time in a format that users need
- Have excellent editorial skills, an eye for detail and experience publishing digital content
- Understand how to make content accessible to all
- Have practical understanding of UK government content design standards and accessibility requirements
- Bring analytics and user research findings into your design work and how to work collaboratively with researchers, designers and developers
- Understand the value of using different prototyping techniques and how to select the best option for different audiences and outcomes
Responsibilities
- Create accessible, inclusive products and services that are easy to understand and use
- Work with organisations to understand their goals, improve user journeys, content quality, and the service they need to provide
- Work closely with other disciplines within agile delivery teams
- Work in a fast-paced environment, using iterative and flexible approaches to deliver outcomes rapidly
- Use platforms and tools like Figma and Jira to collaborate, manage and document your work to others
- Identify important stakeholders, tailoring communication to their needs, and work with teams to build these relationships
- Represent the user to these groups and using evidence to build consensus to deliver the best outcome
- Understand strategies and policies, providing guidance to others on working to deliver the policy intent and the strategic vision
