Summary

Join Canva's International Marketing Group as a Senior Copywriter and help shape the brand's voice in Latin America. This 6-month contract role allows for remote work with flexible hours, focusing on writing compelling copy for various mediums, including integrated campaigns, product launches, and events. You will collaborate with a team of creatives, lead campaigns from concept to execution, and present your work to senior leaders. The ideal candidate possesses proven experience in creating content for diverse platforms, a strong portfolio showcasing advertising and branding work, native-level Spanish and strong English skills, and strategic thinking abilities. This role requires close collaboration with the Creative Director to ensure timely project completion. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to a global team and make a significant impact on Canva's brand presence in Mexico.

Requirements

  • You have proven experience creating for TV, digital, social media, OOH, and performance marketing
  • You have a creative mind with a proven track record of developing original ideas and bringing them to life with care and attention to detail
  • You have a portfolio of diverse work that spans advertising and branding
  • Your strategic thinking helps you uncover problems, identify insights, and turn them into powerful creative concepts
  • You have a love for writing copy that’s thoughtful, meaningful, clear, inspiring, and—when needed—provocative
  • You have Native-level Spanish and strong English skills (we’re a global team, so English will be part of your every day)

Responsibilities

  • Writing, reviewing, and dreaming up ideas for Canva’s brand, product, and performance campaigns
  • Leading campaigns from the initial idea to final execution, always staying true to Canva’s brand and strategy
  • Confidently pitching concepts and present your work to senior creative leaders, product marketers, and key stakeholders with a clear creative vision and strategic reasoning
  • Collaborating with external partners, sharing guidance and feedback to keep messaging consistent and high-quality
  • Work closely with the Creative Director to ensure schedules are accurate and realistic and that deadlines are met

Benefits

This is a remote role with flexible working hours, but you’ll need to balance your schedule to accommodate occasional global team meetings in the evening (6-9 PM)
