Summary

Join Protective as a Senior Associate Copywriter and craft compelling copy that aligns with the brand's voice and marketing goals. Collaborate with the content and creative strategy team to produce creative messaging for various channels, ensuring effective and coherent communication. Write tailored content for different segments and platforms, optimizing engagement. You will research, conceptualize, and write copy for diverse tactics, including product literature, sales enablement tools, and more. Maintain brand consistency and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Develop a deep understanding of Protective's brand, products, and services.

Requirements

  • 7+ years’ experience producing copy for various media and a portfolio of your work
  • Ability to simplify complex, highly technical financial concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex ideas from multiple reference sources
  • An iterative and feedback-driven approach to writing, testing, and editing copy
  • Experience using technology to manage and collaborate on projects, such as Workfront, Mural, Figma, etc

Responsibilities

  • Produce creative messaging that aligns with the brand’s voice, product positioning, and marketing goals
  • Write tailored content for different channels, ensuring effective and coherent messaging
  • Create campaign messages and communications variations to cater to different segments and optimize engagement across various platforms
  • Expertly craft Protective’s goals and messaging through literature
  • Research, conceptualize, and write copy for a range of tactics, including product literature, sales enablement tools, email, web content, social media, presentations, advertisements, direct mail, events, newsletters, and more
  • Ensure error-free consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all written content, following established workflow processes
  • Proactively manage deadlines across multiple projects in a fast-paced, fluid environment
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Protective brand, products and services
  • Help to foster a culture of inclusion, innovation, and creativity
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a concentration in journalism, marketing, communications, or related discipline
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing processes, as well as life insurance and investment products and services are a plus
