The role requires strong communication skills and experience in cost management, quantity surveying, and procurement within the specified sectors. Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years post graduate experience in Cost Management/Quantity Surveying, Procurement and Supply Chain in the Data Centre, life science, pharma, biotech or other hi tech sectors
- Previous experience of providing sourcing, procurement and contracts management support to large scale construction programs and projects
- Familiar and have demonstrable experience of both pre- and post-contract roles
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment to manage client expectations and deliver high quality service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Right to work in the Republic of Ireland and EU
Responsibilities
- Manage procurement and sourcing for data center construction programs, including various professional services (e.g., General Contractors, Architects, Project Management)
- Lead project-level procurement, contract administration, and sourcing, coordinating supply chain activities from planning to closeout
- Provide regular briefings on procurement status, addressing any escalated issues
- Support customer delivery teams, ensuring procurement processes align with project timelines
- Oversee contract operations meetings, track procurement events, and manage RFP activities, including document preparation, supplier screening, and bidder management
- Manage GC Lump Sum procurement activities, advising on potential change orders and tracking contract milestones
- Handle change orders and claims, ensuring timely execution and contract closeout
- Support sourcing, onboarding, and negotiations with suppliers, including developing frameworks and contract strategies for various regions
- Manage cost estimation, budgeting, tendering, and procurement activities throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide ongoing cost management support, including cost reporting, risk analysis, value engineering, and client engagement
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable
Preferred Qualifications
Competency in utilising computer software for cost planning and contract administration would be beneficial
