Requirements
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills using colloquial language, and amazing active listening and conflict skills
- Deep knowledge of legal operations, processes, procedures, and metrics
- Detailed understanding of the commercial data privacy, and intellectual property issues commonly associated with fast-growing technology and “software as a service” companies
- Experience providing legal services and support to a company operating in the SaaS space
- 6-10 years of professional experience in relevant roles
- JD degree and admission to at least one state bar
Responsibilities
- Enhance and manage a revenue contract process that collaborates with other team members (Sales, Finance, Product) and optimizes for client service, with predictable SLAs for common legal support needs
- Revise and maintain Expel’s contract documents, ensuring we use customer-friendly “plain English” terms, and create a playbook of standard legal "plays"
- Support procurement activities, including vendor contract review, guidelines, and templates
- Partner with the Security Team to improve Expel’s data privacy and information security programs
