Summary

Join Figma's growing team as an attorney leading our Figma for Government business. As the first attorney dedicated to this vertical, you will strategically partner with the Federal Sales team and FedRAMP compliance team. You will work in a fast-paced environment, building for scale and making an immediate impact. This full-time role can be based in a US hub or remotely within the United States. You will draft, review, and negotiate contracts with government entities and vendors, advise on compliance initiatives, and contribute to the growth of Figma's government and education sectors. Requirements

  • A J.D. and are licensed to practice law in at least one state
  • 10 years relevant experience advising on U.S. public sector procurement (including FAR clauses, SAM registrations, FedRAMP, drafting relevant templates, negotiating with government customers, negotiating with relevant vendors, establishing compliance rhythms, etc.)
  • Are collaborative, with strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility, and partner with others
  • Have a strong work ethic, bias towards action, and willingness to run with projects both large and small
  • Are comfortable operating in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate sales contracts with US government entities, partnering with our Federal Sales team
  • Update and maintain our Figma for Government sales contract templates
  • Build and mature gov-related sales processes for scale
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors who are within our FedRAMP boundary
  • Advise on our vendor process as it relates to FigGov vendors
  • Drive FAR compliance initiatives
  • Advise our FedRAMP compliance team
  • Advise on our Figma for Education initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience advising technology companies on U.S. public sector procurement
  • Experience working in-house at a high-growth technology company
