Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience working in operations analytics or data science, ideally in a B2B setting
  • BA/BS in a quantitative field such as statistics, computer science, operations research or a BA/BS in behavioral science (economics, psychology, etc) with statistics skills
  • Excellent SQL skills
  • Strong scripting Python skills
  • Familiarity with operations research and supply chain management concepts
  • Strong communication skills and experience communicating results in a way that drives change. You have the ability to use data to inform, align, and lead
  • Strong senses of autonomy and ownership
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and statistical skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and share insights that drive impact within the Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams
  • Define the data language (i.e. KPIs, dashboards, measurement, etc) to ensure your team grasps the underlying truth that drives progress and success
  • Facilitate rapid decision making through ad hoc work or by democratizing data/self service (effective BI or user-friendly explores in Looker in partnership with our data engineers)
  • Utilize your data super powers to reduce ambiguity and solve problems
  • Mentor other analysts and help them grow

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have experience turning vague operational problems and turning them into statistically rigorous analyses & solutions (i.e causal inference, predictive modeling)
  • Interest in working and learning in an earlier stage company where we’re still working out some of the basics
  • Bias for action and desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong customer empathy, particularly for dentists
  • Experience with Hex/Jupyter, DBT or Data Orchestration (we use Dagster)
