Join Koala Health's Insights and Analytics team as a Senior Data Analyst to leverage your expertise in SQL, Python, and other analytical tools. You will build data solutions driving strategic decision-making, design dashboards and visualizations, and create data products supporting experimentation and optimizing customer experiences. Partner with cross-functional teams to identify high-impact areas for data-driven insights. Synthesize internal and external data to understand customer behaviors and translate insights into actionable strategies. Serve as a thought partner to leadership, contributing to strategic planning by evaluating product opportunities and market trends. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelorβs degree in a relevant field preferred
- 6+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, ideally within e-commerce, subscription-based, or customer-centric businesses
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, with a track record of navigating complex data ecosystems and analyzing large, multi-source datasets to uncover insights that drive measurable business impact
- Proven ability to lead investigative data work, from sourcing and structuring messy operational data to architecting robust analytical solutions that inform high-priority decisions
- Skilled in wireframing and prototyping data visualization solutions, with a strong sense for how to present KPIs and narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, including executives
- Hands-on experience with Python or R, and fluency in visualization platforms such as Looker, Tableau, Mode, Amplitude, or Heap
- Strong ownership mindset, with the initiative to independently drive projects from problem definition through execution and stakeholder communication
Responsibilities
- Lead complex quantitative analyses to assess the impact of product launches, operational enhancements, and strategic opportunities, delivering data-driven recommendations that influence high-level business decisions
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to proactively identify high-impact areas where data can unlock insights, optimize workflows, and inform prioritization of key initiatives
- Synthesize internal and external data sources to generate a holistic understanding of customer behaviors, operational processes, and partner dynamics, and translate these insights into clear, actionable strategies across the organization
- Serve as a thought partner to leadership, contributing to strategic planning by evaluating emerging product opportunities, evolving market trends, and competitive dynamics to support long-term growth
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with modern data stack tools such as DBT, Snowflake, and Mozart for building scalable data pipelines and transforming raw data into analytics-ready assets
- Familiarity with marketing analytics and customer data platforms like Segment, Mixpanel, and related attribution tools
